Boom Beach: Effective Low-level Base Defense

Do players attack your best more frequently and struggle to save Gold and Wood resources? Maybe something's wrong with your defenses.

Here is my layout that I could say is perfect and untouchable defense. This base has been spied more than twenty times but no one dared to attack.

So here is, for me, the most reliable and best defense layout for a level 4 Headquarters base in Boom Beach:

Now I may not have time to post all best defense for each level of Headquarters but here is the most effective strategy for defense of your Boom beach base. Since the Headquarters is the center of your base, when it is destroyed, it means a defeat.

So make sure, as shown in the image above, that the Headquarters must be in the center or at least it would be surrounded by defense towers, like Sniper tower, Machine Gun and Mortar. This is to make sure that wherever side the enemy goes, it will be bombarded by your tower defenses.
